Our Little Lancashire Village at Rawtenstall is based inside an old corn mill in the centre of town and has a variety of shops and job roles to inspire and allow your child to get into character, to engage with other children, learn to socialise and share all whilst acting out real life roles.
Our play sessions run 7 days a week at 9.30am, 11.45am and 2pm for 1 hour, 45 minutes. There are a limited number of spaces available at each session which are to be pre-booked online and we advise booking well in advance! We close for a small amount of time in-between each session to reset the areas and clean thoroughly. To ensure a safe and secure environment for your little ones, our age limit is up to & including aged 7.
Please be advised before booking, all bookings are non-refundable and cannot be transferred between villages. We can transfer a booking to another date if 48 hours or more notice is given. To move a booking, please EMAIL us: info@thelittlelancashirevillage.co.uk with your booking number. If it’s less than 48 hours, we can advertise the spaces on our social media pages and if they sell we can move your booking to a different date/time. Bookings can only be transferred within 6 months & we can only move them a maximum of twice.
Please note, we have a strict NO SOCKS, NO PLAY policy so please remember to wear or bring socks. If you do forget you can purchase them on arrival for £1.

“Have visited this place more times than I can count. My daughter loves it! Lots of opportunities for imaginative play for children. Place is always clean and with toys/equipment that are well cared for and rotated often. The staff are always friendly. Cafe on site offering hot and cold food and drink and there is always tasty cake available too.”

Benefits of Roleplay…
Role play forms an essential part of a child’s development and is an important element of their learning. Children learn through observing others, imagining and taking part in role play.
As children play, they develop fundamental cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. Young children also learn practical life skills such as dressing themselves, problem solving, how to cooperate, and share with other children.
Little Lancashire Village is a place where your little ones can dress up and get into character through imaginative play.
book rawtenstall“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of the childhood.”
Fred Rogers
Plan your visit…
To visit us, you must book online for the amount of children & adults attending. Non-walkers (babies in arms) don’t need to be added onto your booking unless you want them to play – then you need to add them as a child. We do sometimes get cancellations which we advertise on our social media pages, or you can call us to ask on 01706 212446.
Little Lancashire Village has been specifically designed with younger children in mind (walking up-to and including aged 7) and comes with a warning for adults to ‘mind your heads’!
We have a café open throughout each session where we offer a wide range of hot & cold food and drinks, homemade cakes and snacks.
